Sean Topham an avid drummer since age 12, started building drums and doing trade shows in 1999, designing his own line of custom drums, drum lugs, and cymbal tops. In 2007 he got a call from Rikki Rockett (Poison) to work at Rockett Drumworks and film several TV pilots with the Pimp My Ride TV producers, Eventually becoming Rikki’s personal drum tech and building drums at all the venues in a his mobile drum shop, then later becoming drum tech for Bobby Blotzer (Ratt).
After touring as a drum tech for a couple years, he decided to take his own band (The Chimpz) on the road. The new EP was produced by Ryan Greene (Bad Religion, NOFX, Megadeth), who also helmed their previous release “Who Can I Trust”. This will be the band’s 4th commercial release. With the song “corrupt” featuring guitar legend Bruce Bouillet (Racer X, The Scream)
After several US tours, The Chimpz have gotten several songs place on FX Channels hit TV show “Sons Of Anarchy”, NBC’s “The Challenge”, every eppisode of MTV’s “Bam Margeras Unholy Union” and many others.
Sean plays his unique BONELICIOUS acrylic drum kit.
